Customs Regulations in South Africa

For the removal of household goods from UK to South Africa you will need the following documents: DA 304 and P.1.160; Passport; Detailed inventory for attestation; Permanent residence documents; or Temporary residence permit and work permit.

Customs Prescriptions: Duty free entry
For import of your vehicle you will need to produce the following: Customs form DA 304/A; Registration papers; Document showing that the vehicle has been in the owner's use and possession abroad for more than 365 days before the importation of the vehicle (original purchase invoice, insurance certificate, etc…); Import permit.

South African Customs Information
Duty free entry for used household goods and personal effects is granted to all new residents from UK.

Prohibited Items: skins, feathers, furs and tusks from endangered species; walkie-talkie radios.
