Customs Regulations in Netherlands

Holders of British passports, defining them as "British Citizens", do not need visas to income to the Netherlands. All British passport holders require a valid passport to enter the Netherlands.

You can bring your possessions into the Netherlands, including household effects, bodycare products, vehicles, dogs and cats. You can bring them without a licence or duties and taxes.

During your entry into the Netherlands your goods must be declared to Customs. You can do this by filling the Single Administrative Document (Enig Document) form. You can get one from the customs office in the area where you will be living. The procedure for importing your personal belongings is separate from the procedure for the inspection of your vehicle and the lodging of the car and motorcycle tax declaration. It is recommended to submit your import declaration as soon as you can.
